WE WILL CHECK THE FOLLOWING:

➔ Replace CBs with RCDs

➔ Exposed copper busbar (rewire using insulated wires)

➔ Missing pole filler in switchboard

➔ Enclosure requiring fire caulk

➔ RCD fail time or trip test (excess of 40ms)

➔ Complete upgrade to safety switches from fuses

➔ Derating the main switch according to wiring size, eg 16mm can only use a 63A switch

➔ Relabel switchboard

➔ Add earth tag

➔ Earth fault in GPO - fault finding or rerun wiring from closest GPO or directly from main

➔ Powerpoint/switch replace mec or entire fitting

➔ Add isolator to aircon or oven

➔ Replace smoke alarms 240v/9v (and their positioning according to AS3786, ie not less than 300mm from a wall)

➔ Faulty lights and landlord-supplied appliances such as aircon/fan/rangehood/ovens etc

➔ Unprotected wiring requiring mechanical protection/conduit

➔ POA point of attachment problems are extremely rare and may involve the electrical distributor in those cases.
